The Parts Advisor is responsible for smooth and efficient running front and rear parts counters and controlling stock movements.
Working hours: Monday to Friday alternating by week between 8:00-17:00 and 9:00-18:00 and alternate Saturdays 8:00-12:00
What does the role involve?
• Run front and back Service Counters
• Pick and deliver correct parts to customers and workshop on time
• Complete relevant documentation including invoices etc
• Build and develop customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service
• Work together with the workshop and other departments
• Return warranty and service exchange units regularly
• Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any issues
• Inventory management
• Department housekeeping
• Parts ordering
• Communicate with customers and suppliers
• Promote parts to customers to increase sales
• Inform customers of any promotions that are running to help increase sales.
• Control VOR/freight charge costs
• Chase supplier credits
• Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
What are we looking for in a candidate?
• Experience in a similar role, within a main dealer
• Computer literacy and a high attention to detail
• Knowledge of Scania parts and systems
• Current driving licence
• Ability to work within a team
• Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines, with excellent organisational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Solution-driven approach
• Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
• Ability to work under pressure and have a solution-driven approach
• Fork-lift truck licence
