I'm interested in speaking to Food Technical Managers with chilled food experience for a new opportunity based in North West London. This is a factory and customer-facing role, so it needs to be site-based. Customers include main retailers, foodservice and B2B. Now we have the practical bits out of the way, what's in it for you? He has an impressive technical pedigree and has built strong relationships with the customer. He wants people to succeed, believes in sharing knowledge and empowering people to develop. You'll be his right hand, so of course he wants you to do well. As you'll have three direct reports, you'll come with your own track-record of leadership skills. It's a busy factory and a hands-on technical role, where you'll need to collaborate across factory operations, coaching to ensure compliance and high quality standards. You'll know what good looks like, driving quality improvements and setting standards. We're looking for sound food microbiology knowledge and a forensic approach to root cause analysis both in the factory and the wider supply chain. Other must haves include: A minimum five years' food manufacturing experience, ideally within chilled food Degree in a food science or relative subject Lead Auditor qualification preferred - minimum Auditor qualification HACCP Level 3 or above BRCGS lead - customer quality standards & COPs Ability to understand and interpret food microbiological lab results Salary £60,000 - £65,000.
