COSHH Field Based Engineer - (Compressed Air Systems)
JOB TITLE: COSHH Field Engineer for the South parts of England (based out of the Wiltshire, Berkshire or Oxfordshire areas)
SALARY: £39,500 - £41,000 + Van
HOURS: 40-hour week
NIGHT ALLOWANCE: £25 Allowance for Food and Beverage consumables.
Job Summary: As a COSHH Field Engineer you will be expected to facilitate high quality H&S Compliance Testing to customers around the South of the England. You will be expected to follow routes provided and use the information given to complete all customer requirements to the highest standard of workmanship. This role will sometimes include overnight stops which is an integral part of the job role. You will be expected to liaise with the operational division daily to ensure all jobs are completed. All data collected must be submitted back onto the internal portal with evidence of work completed using the sign off process.
You will be given the opportunity to develop your skills through our internal CPD framework programme and further extend your skills through external qualifications.
You will be responsible for having the correct equipment to carry out business duties and show willingness to support the business in all areas where demand is required. Collaborating with the wider management team ensuring all business objectives are implemented will require a high level of interpersonal communicational skills which are required daily.
You will be expected to change routes if required to meet the importance of jobs which are necessary. This will be supported and communicated via the operational division, if required
Key Requirements Qualifications required:
* P601 in Thorough Examination and Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilations
* Good knowledge of Air systems flows / compressors
* Face Fit Testing qualification (not Desirable)
* ICT Skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) and ability to use an IPAD to input data for the creation of quality reports.
* Ability to be diligent with procedures. record keeping and accuracy of information.
* Engineering Industry Experience.
* Completion of a recognised Apprenticeship/IOSHH/HNC/IPAF/PSMA Desirable
* A professional manner, be organised and have good time keeping.
* The ability to develop positive relationships with customers, a customer facing role, attending customer locations and representing the Company to a high standard.
* Driving License for a minimum of 5 years.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Follow scheduled planned routes provided and ensure all equipment required is prepared prior to travelling.
* Visit customers premises and carry out thorough and comprehensive testing examinations to meet the expectations and demands of the customer’s needs.
* You will provide evidence of all work carried out via the sign off process and submit reports in preparation for quality assessment on the same day as testing.
* Have up to date knowledge on all aspects of LEV testing / BAQ Testing and Face Fit Testing.
* Liaise with the operational division regarding any breakdowns, remedial work or any other issues found on site.
