We are currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide support to special educational needs children across KS1 & KS2 on a full-time basis.
Monday - Friday (8.30am - 3.30pm)
Requirements
1. Experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably in a classroom setting.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with students, staff, and caregivers.
3. A genuine passion for supporting children with social and academic needs.
4. Knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum and safeguarding policies.
The role
1. Assist teachers in implementing specialised education plans that cater to each student's unique requirements.
2. Track students' behaviour and progress and report back to the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
3. Follow ECHP's (Educational Care & Health Plan) to ensure you are meeting the individual needs of the pupils.
4. Deliver interventions and work with small groups of pupils and 1:1 to ensure that all learning is delivered to a high standard.
To be considered for the role you will:
1. Have previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
2. Have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting children or be educated to degree level.
3. Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the DBS update service or be willing to complete a new application.
4. Be willing to complete our safeguarding training.
5. Be able and willing to provide details for at least two professional referees.
