We are looking for an experienced Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer with a proven track record in the commercial property field to join our team. At VDBM, we operate from a strong client property management base, providing a wide range of services across the South East of England, with occasional assignments extending further afield. Key Responsibilities Lease Advisory: To provide advice on lease renewals, rent review and other lease-related matters including preparing reports for Arbitration, Independent Expert and Court. Valuations: Conduct a diverse range of professional valuations in line with the RICS Valuation Global Standards ( Red Book ), ensuring that they meet the highest industry standards and are delivered with accuracy and timeliness. Property Inspections: Support the property management team by performing routine and ad hoc property inspections and identify and address potential issues, ensuring properties under management are maintained to high standards. Client Relationships Management: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients providing strategic and professional advice and proactively identify opportunities to enhance instruction levels and expand the client portfolio Business Development and Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas to drive business development and growth and identify new opportunities and implement strategies to improve service offerings and market competitiveness. Required Qualifications and Skills Minimum MRICS qualification - ESSENTIAL RICS Registered Valuer status preferred The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage a high caseload efficiently while maintain consistent, high-level fee-earning performance Experience: Commercial Property Expertise: Proven experience in the commercial property sector, with in-depth knowledge of the RICS Red Book and rent review / lease renewal processes. A minimum of two years post qualification experience is desirable. Analytical Skills: Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and effectiveness in all interactions. Working Environment Location: We would expect the role to be office based in Northwood, Middlesex but some flexibility for occasional WFH will be offered.
