Radis Community Care has an opportunity for a Senior Support Worker/ Team Leader to join our Supported Living Team in Boston PE21.
About the role
Our Supported Living Service in Boston is home to young female adults with Learning Disabilities. They enjoy various activities, many social events and outings together as well as having their own individual interests. We require caring and considerate people to support these young adults to enjoy each day to the full. A female Team Leader is required due to the service users' requirements.
A full driving licence will be needed to support the individuals with their everyday lives.
As a Team Leader, you will provide support to our Supported Living Services, offering specialised person-centred support. Radis recognises each person as an individual and provides a unique service tailored to their specific needs, ensuring a consistent approach throughout their life.
You will work alongside the Managers of our Supported Living Services, overseeing the smooth running of these services, completing regular audits, checks, supervisions, spot checks, and updating and reviewing support plans to ensure that individuals achieve their outcomes.
The role will require you to schedule/allocate work to the Support Workers, support with medication, personal care tasks, and cover shifts within the services.
You will be required to take part in the on-call system.
Skills and Qualifications required for the role
1. Previous experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, autism, and mental health issues.
2. Previous experience as a Team Leader will be advantageous but not essential.
3. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, working towards Level 3.
4. You will have good written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn in line with clients' needs and expectations.
5. This role requires you to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
