Post 16 Education, Employment and Training Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to support young people in their post-16 education, employment, and training journeys. This role focuses on tracking, monitoring, and engaging with 16- to 18-year-olds, ensuring they are actively participating in education or training.
The successful candidate will have experience in data tracking, monitoring, and maintaining accurate records to strict deadlines through telephone and e-communication. They will confidently engage with young people, parents, education providers, and other services to confirm participation, providing advice and guidance where necessary. Strong communication skills are essential, as updates must be shared effectively while maintaining high standards of data quality.
This role requires someone with experience working in a post-16 service environment and a deep understanding of the challenges young people face. A key aspect of the role involves reducing the number of young people who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET) or whose activity is unknown. This may include outreach such as home visits to ensure no young person is left without support.
