Position: Teacher of PE (Female) Location: Gateshead Salary: Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale, depending on experience Contract: Full-time until July 2025 About the Role We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to teach Physical Education to female students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will bring energy and creativity to their teaching, fostering a love for physical activity and well-being in all students. You will have the opportunity to teach a range of sports, fitness activities, and theory lessons, helping students to achieve their potential both in and out of the classroom. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum. Promote a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel encouraged to participate. Support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students through a holistic approach to education. Participate in extra-curricular activities, including sports clubs, events, and competitions. Contribute to the wider school community through collaboration with colleagues and leadership teams. About You The ideal candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. Have experience teaching PE at secondary school level. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the PE curriculum and assessment frameworks. Be an excellent role model, embodying the values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
