A General Labourer opportunity has arisen to assist the site investigation department, UKAS accredited laboratory, and on-site testing departments of the Aberdeen office. To undertake a range of tasks in all weather conditions.
To prepare materials and equipment for dispatch to site, and book in stock upon return. To assist site personnel with project requirements, including physical work. To undertake works with a focus on quality and safety.
You will be based at our Aberdeen location and will be required to work outdoors in all weathers. There may be a requirement to work weekends and nights, occasionally.
Responsibilities and Activities:
* Performing various tasks required within the site investigation sector to a high standard.
* Load and unload vehicles.
* Operate hand and power tools.
* Hand digging of inspection pits to enable sample collection / drilling commencement.
* Deliveries/collection of materials (including towing) to/from site.
* General labouring including yard maintenance and cleaning.
* Stocktaking.
* Borehole headwork completion.
* Support the Laboratory Coordinator to enable maintenance of QHSE systems and company accreditations.
* Liaising with supervisors to ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with client requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Excellent team player with a can-do attitude.
* Be well organised and confident working under tight deadlines.
* Have a focused and pragmatic approach and willing to take ownership of tasks.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Attention to detail, quality and safety.
* Ability to perform complete paperwork accurately and legibly.
* Be reliable and punctual.
* Be flexible with a desire to work on different project sites across the UK.
* Full driver licence (travel is a requirement).
* Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
* B+E towing entitlement.
* Maintenance knowledge of plant and vehicles.

Duration: Permanent
