Having successfully secured a pipeline of work across the UK, we are now seeking to recruit a talented Senior Faade Designer. Our designers go above and beyond in our design process, applying high levels of knowledge and expertise to ensure and design excellence and also ensuring compliance to current building regulations; CWCT guidance; Contract Specification and our own internal design standards whilst meeting all of the client and project design team requirements. About The Role Role Summary Drive creative excellence, efficient and innovative faade design solutions within your team Assist with Pre-Construction design proposals and 3D sketches when required. Build trust with the Client Design Team by tending to technical queries/meetings in a professional manner in line with the Clarke Values. Demonstrate Clarke Design quality to our clients strive to ensure all work is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with agreed Specification. Provide detailed information and time estimations to our clients to ensure effective communication of programme and deadlines. Attend handover meetings to review and discuss the project, identifying design requirements Review and assist Design Team Lead in setting scope of work assigned by for the Project Design team including clarification of the scope of works. Clearly communicate the delegation of work within your project team and ensure completion of design work in accordance with the specifications received from the client and within programme allowance. Check own work and that of junior team members in line with performance specification, manufacturing constraints, and in line with Clarke Design Manual. Lead by example in the submission of designs for internal review and discussion and assist your team to do the same. Regular liaison with other departments, Procurement, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Production and Site Teams. Engage in continuous learning and keep up to date with new developments in the industry. & share knowledge with team colleagues. Periodic site visits at key milestones on the projects you will be working on. Diversity and Inclusion is at the heart of our business Required Criteria Degree, HND or equivalent in the built environment sector; Engineering or Architecture/Architectural Technology 5+ years experience as a designer in cladding and/or glazing Highly proficient in use of AutoCAD Working knowledge of unitised and stick systems, window/door systems, and cladding materials (e.g. Rainscreen Cladding, GFRC, terracotta) Desired Criteria 3+ years experience as a designer in cladding and glazing on projects over £4m. Experience of using BIM on a regular basis.
