Using your skills as a planner the Capacity Planner – Physiotherapy will effectively load and manage clinician diaries, regularly implement efficiencies through the use of utilisation reporting and stakeholder engagement. Reacting in real time to changes in resource levels to decrease impacts to capacity and client journeys. Demonstrating the ability to use lateral thinking in problem solving scenarios. Maintaining a constant flow of availability for the bookings team within a set region and support with A/L and other off diary activity authorisations in conjunction with site management. Supporting the national lead by encouraging and supporting the growth of a positive team environment, facilitating the development of robust skillsets and processes and maintaining productive and appropriate communications channels with all relevant stakeholders. Responsibilities will include: • Building and maintenance of clinician rotas for specific regional clusters. • Identifying resource and separating by clinical specialty; Doctor, Physiotherapist, Physiologist, Mental Health Therapist, etc. • Constructing work patterns using Excel spreadsheets and liaising with site management to ensure maximum efficiencies are being met. • Loading and maintenance of clinician diaries for a specific cluster of regional locations. • Matching clinical diaries to clinician rotas in line with specified SLAs. Ensuring the appropriate level of capacity is available in line with expected and real time demand. • Identifying and implementing diary efficiencies in line with the evolving needs of the service line • Receive notifications of unplanned clinician absence or changes to their diary availability • Assess the impact of the absence, identify solutions to mitigate the impact, communicate with local management to agree the best course of action and implement • Utilise internal reports to adapt capacity levels and structure in line with current or future trends • Use real time feedback from the Team Leaders within the contact centre to support analysis • Planning in advance to avoid significant disruption in service and overlapping of events. Preventing late notice and failures to comply which could result in clinicians being unable to see patients • Following processes, only accepting requests from line managers who have stuck to procedure and either remained within the stipulated SLAs or have provided appropriate justification for falling outside of SLAs • Reporting to support daily operations.
