An exciting opportunity has arisen within ward 214 for a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to work in the speciality of Burns & Plastics. Ward 214 is a 14 bedded Unit that receives 24 hours a day and admits patients requiring elective surgery for Burns & Plastic surgery and is the Burns Unit for the North East of Scotland. We also have a dressing clinic aligned with the ward, providing the successful candidate the opportunity to rotate to it, along with working alongside the Skin Cancer Specialist nurse. There is also the opportunity to develop your skills by working with the nurses that carry out Tattoo services and Skin Camouflage services.
The candidate must have had some experience whilst training in wound management and have worked in a surgical area. The candidate must also have previous experience working as a Band 5 within a hospital setting and have completed their degree or equivalent.
The candidate must have leadership experience, and it would be beneficial, though not essential, for the candidate to have worked with Burns and Flaps in some capacity. The candidate needs to be flexible in working and work well within an already established team.
