Main Purpose of the Job
This position will be responsible for the reporting of financial data and insights to the C-Suite and board. Furthermore, the role will support the CFO with communication to external investors and lenders. The role will also be responsible for providing business partnering support to the Complex Chemicals division and the line management for 2.5 FTEs.
Key Responsibilities
* Continue to develop a strong commercially based reporting and business partnering Global FP&A function.
* Build out streamlined reporting using a variety of data sources and systems including SAP (R/3), SAP CRM & LucaNet.
* Produce the monthly reporting pack to the board and investors.
* Work closely with the Global Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting on period close consolidations and wider accounting matters.
* Lead on the commercially focused period close, including production of AP/AR and Inventory dashboards.
* Oversee group cash management aligning 11 entities' spends with wider capex requirements.
* Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends, analyse variances and support gap closing measures.
* Support the development, training, understanding and reporting from the Sales CRM tool.
* Provide robust challenge to the business during planning, reporting and monthly cycles through a variety of working groups.
* Work with the FP&A analyst to produce weekly sales and open orders reporting, pulling information from SAP and transforming it into commercially digestible reporting.
* Line management of 3 FP&A professionals.
* Lead the regular forecasting/budget cycle for the Biosynth Group.
* Main point of contact for all financial matters relating to Biosynth Group Limited including bank payments, liaison with 3rd party suppliers and day to day matters.
* Support further development of the SAP ecosystem alongside the Finance Process Excellence manager and IS team to improve speed and accuracy of reporting.
* In tandem with the wider FP&A team, support data download, analysis and improvement of offline reporting tools.
* Work closely with the business to assist in the control and optimization of inventory levels and working capital overall.
* Champion finance throughout the wider organisation, delivering a high-quality finance provision leading to high levels of trust in finance within the business.
Key Deliverables and Performance Indicators
* Ensure consistency and accuracy of key business planning deliverables.
* Drive focus on P&L efficiency and Cash Conversion rate.
* Half-year forecast and Budget.
* Cashflow forecast (monthly).
Candidate Requirements
* University degree in Business and/or Accounting.
* Significant experience of working in a FP&A/Group environment.
* Understanding of working in a complex divisional structure in an international business.
* Experience in a PE portfolio company would be preferred.
* Knowledge in Pharmaceutical/Bio-Tech/Medical Device would be desirable.
* Solid interpersonal and communication skills in a senior management environment.
* Day-to-day experience of SAP.
* Comfortable extracting and working with large data sets.
* Positive attitude, capable, energetic, analytical with a solid understanding of accounting.
* Need to understand group business processes.
We are offering this position on a 12-month contract basis; you will be employed by Biosynth for this duration.
This role will be working on a hybrid basis from our site in Compton, Berkshire. You will need your own transport to be able to get to our site.
