Job summary Part Time 18.5 hours, fixed term for 12 months We are looking to recruit a proactive Materials Management Assistant to join the Theatre Department Materials Management team. This is an extremely busy position and therefore the Trust are looking for highly motivated, competent individuals with strong communication, organisation, and computer skills. Key aspects to the role include: To support the Materials and Equipment Manager and Team, with the procurement programme for the Theatre Department. Provide an internal stock replenishment service using bar code scanning and data capture systems. Ensure all designated stock is monitored and replenished to the agreed levels against the agreed delivery schedule. Resolve any supplies issues. Reporting to the Materials Manager, or deputy on a day-to-day basis, the successful candidate must possess some knowledge of stock inventory administration, together with excellent time management, problem solving and organisation skills, together with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Experience or an understanding of procurement and stock systems and processes would be of benefit but not essential for this role.
