Head of Commercial Delivery CrossCountry have a rare opportunity for a Head of Commercial Delivery to lead the Business Analysis, Revenue Management, Revenue Protection, Fraud, Retail and Pricing & Distribution teams. The successful applicant will be accountable for the delivery of the passenger revenue, journeys and ancillary income objectives. Principle Responsibilities As the Head of Commercial Delivery, your key responsibilities will include: Accountable for the delivery of key contract obligations and deliverables within the Annual Business Plan. Developing, updating and reporting the CrossCountry revenue budget and performance for the short, medium and long-term business plans using the CrossCountry demand and revenue forecasting model. Identifying risks and Commercial opportunities inherent in the business plan. Propose actions to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities and develop a detailed set of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that will allow for ongoing management and measurement of revenue and journeys. Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of the business through each of the CrossCountry routes and markets in terms of the volume and value that they represent of the total franchise. Develop a sound understanding of the specifics of each route such as the type of service offered, the share of capacity utilised, the mix of fares sold, as well the customer profile and the competitor environment. Working with the business to develop initiatives and ensure the product, marketing, demand, performance, fares and exogenous factors forecasting profiles meet these opportunities. Identifying areas where revenue growth could be constrained and produce business cases to justify investment that would de-constrain demand further (e.g. catering, distribution, fulfilment channels and yield management). Work closely with the Marketing Team in relation to customer segmentation and insight research projects and ensure that all available business data is used to inform future business cases and decisions. Supporting the business with revenue and journey analysis requirements and coaching analytical skills to ensure commercial strategies are embedded into the timetable and operations. Representing CrossCountry on PDFC/E and ensure research is done and used at CrossCountry (SDG’s review, Station enhancements, Impact of environmental issues). Any other duties required by the Customer and Commercial Director which are deemed appropriate to the post A nominated deputy to the Customer and Commercial Director. Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training Essential: Education to degree level in a numeric or business related subject OR extensive experience in Operational research High levels of numeracy and have a strong analytical background Structure and positivity individual with the enthusiasm for getting to grips with complex issues. The ability to apply your analytical skills to the business environment Significant experience of analysing data and forecasting Strong leadership skills Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. A sound understanding of Microsoft Office products including Excel, analytical and statistical techniques.
