This full-time role (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) is perfect for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with ADHD, ADD, learning difficulties, and Autism, ranging from mild to severe. Your experience in managing Challenging Behaviour will be invaluable as you work closely with students to help them thrive academically and socially. This position not only offers the chance to make a difference but also provides excellent opportunities for career progression within the educational sector. Daily Duties: - Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, focusing on those with ADHD, ADD, learning difficulties, and Autism. - Implement strategies to manage and reduce Challenging Behaviour in the classroom. - Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs. - Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary. - Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation. - Assist in the development of personalized behavior plans and interventions. - Maintain accurate records of student behavior and progress, reporting any concerns to the SEN Coordinator. - Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support. If you have previous experience working in Pru’s or as a SEN Teaching Assistant, your skills will be highly transferable to this role.
