Job Title: Support Worker Location: North West England, Lancashire, Skelmersdale Job Type: Contract, Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Social services Salary: £12.90 - £14.00 Per hour Job Duties: Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or mental health issues Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social activities Maintain accurate records of client progress and any incidents or concerns Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and social workers to ensure holistic care Required Qualifications: Valid DBS check Previous experience in a similar support worker role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications Experience: Proven experience working with vulnerable individuals Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of safeguarding procedures Ability to provide emotional support and empathy Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations Preferred Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care First Aid certification Working Conditions: Part-Time hours with flexibility required May involve some evening and weekend shifts Work primarily in residential or community settings Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and emotional situations All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
