We are looking for a time served Mechanic or Electrical Engineer to work within our Large Engine Business as a Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will be taking on the Electrical and Mechanical repairs of a wide, varied range of process plant equipment.

An overview of your day
* Electrical and Mechanical repair of a wide and varied range of process plant equipment and machinery such as, NDT process lines and equipment, Welding plant, Grit blasting machines, Machine tools, air compressors and water treatment processing equipment.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance of all equipment detailed above and identify areas for improvement to eliminate machine downtime and increase reliability.
* Installation of services such as electrical containment and compressed air lines.
* Conduct various fabrication projects across the Kirkhill site.
* Compliance with workshop instructions, company practices, policies, and procedures.
* Loading and operation of asset maintenance systems.
* Conduct legionella testing and administrative duties associated with this.
* Assist Maintenance Supervisor with implementation of capital equipment and machinery projects.
* Daily issuing of permit to work for sub-contractors.
What we need from you
* Time served with an SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
* National Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Good fault-finding investigation skills with a strong electrical/mechanical background in repair and installation works.
* Can interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics and literature as required.
* Fabrication welding experience advantageous.
* Knowledge of HS&E procedure, Risk and COSHH assessments.
* The ability to work well as part of a team and on an individual basis.
* Accommodate any out of hour’s outages and emergencies as required.
* MEWP license would be advantageous.
* Computing skills e.g., use of Microsoft Office suite advantageous.
* Counterbalance FLT licence would be advantageous, but training will be given.
* Driving licence preferred.
