We are looking for a Leakage Detection Supervisor to join Thames Water permanently.
This role plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day performance management of our leak detection partners, supervising the effective delivery of leakage targets in the field for the Thames Valley and home counties.
This ever-changing and fast-paced role allows you to work in a business area that is high on the Thames Water agenda.
* You will be based out of one of our Depots in TV&HC regions - Kidlington, Reading, Swindon or Godalming.
* You will be expected to travel to a range of sites in your region regularly so a full UK driving license is required.
What you will be doing as a Leakage Detection Supervisor?
Supervising the performance of the leakage detection teams and partners, you will be accountable for the following:
* Manage the quality assurance, conducting regular site audits and desktop studies to ensure the quality of leakage detection work.
* Direct day-to-day supervision ensuring that targets and service level agreements are achieved within the specified time.
* Have a zero-compromise attitude to health and safety.
* Collating, producing, and analysing reports on leakage detection, identifying any trends and producing challenging yet achievable operational objectives for the leakage detection teams.
* Travel around your designated region, liaising with the field-based teams.
* Recommend and, when required, implement efficiency improvements to outperform budget and delivery plan.
* Recommend and support changes to end-to-end processes to assist in effective and efficient delivery of repair performance.
* Support the contract performance manager to implement corrective action plans and supervise ad-hoc audits.
* Working closely with a range of stakeholders, you will also report on data, analyse trends, and ensure suitable objectives are actioned as a result.
What should you bring to the role?
* You will have demonstrable experience within the area of leakage detection as well as having worked within a performance supervisory role.
* You must be confident liaising with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation, so experience in this area is key.
* You will be analytical in your approach and must be confident in manipulating data to deliver efficiencies and continuous improvement. A proactive and efficient manner is essential as is the ability to always use your initiative.
* A resilient attitude and flexibility in an ever-changing environment are also crucial. This is a vital regulatory output which is high on the business agenda so experience within a similar role is fundamental.
* Due to the nature of the role, you will be travelling around your geographical region so a clean, full UK driving licence is required.
