PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Data Analyst - Ecommerce and Marketplace to be based remotely anywhere in Mainland UK. We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities. OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitoring and management of the various Amazon Marketplaces, as well as all other active marketplace platforms. Performing continual analysis on marketplace specific data, providing insights into product sales trends, sales margin analysis, sales forecasts, stock requirements, customer behavior, and operational performance. Forecasting is a key part of this role. Creating and maintaining reports on the various aspects of the eCommerce marketplaces, and associated KPIs. Using data driven insights to continually optimise content, pricing strategies, promotions, sales focus, available stock and workflow. Identifying and keeping up to date with the latest market trends and competitor strategies. Monitoring and analysing Third Party seller activities across all marketplaces. Identifying and implementing new technologies and software to increase efficiency, productivity, and accuracy e.g. automating processes. Working closely with the eCommerce team members, performing focused product and country level analysis, and identifying specific trends – collaborating with team members to assist in account management and general optimisation. REQUIREMENTS: To become the Data Analyst - Ecommerce and Marketplace, you will need: Highly numerate. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. Excellent problem solving/analytical skills. Systematic/Logical thinking/mindset – ability to break problems down into their smallest constituent parts and to deliver common sense results. Ability to take instruction/ideas and transform them into processes/frameworks. Data visualisation skills – ability to convey complex data, and technical language, in a simple and effective manner, to be understood by all. Ability to take current processes/frameworks and evolve beyond current state, to improve productivity and workflow. Excellent knowledge of Excel, and all MS Office Suite of applications including Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Automate - required. Commercial acumen required. Knowledge of Amazon Vendor / Amazon Seller & Amazon Advertising platforms – required. Knowledge of Akeneo, Linnworks and Infor M3 – desirable. Knowledge of SQL, Python (or similar programming languages). – desirable. Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Power BI. – required. Knowledge of Google Analytics – desirable. Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills. Knowledge and experience with AI, machine learning, and modelling – desirable. Strong, creative team player, but with the ability to work individually and self-drive projects and workloads.
