Job Responsibilities
1. Own the relationship between the central Information Cyber Security team and the “Create Products & Services” value creation stream.
2. Champion the capabilities of the Governance, Risk and Compliance security product group within the organization.
3. Assess threat landscapes, apply threat modeling, select appropriate security tools and controls, and manage any residual risk at program, individual project, and operational levels.
4. Collaborate with digital product management teams supporting engineering to consult on security best practices and architecture, while managing relationships with the central Information and Cyber Security team.
5. Identify and proactively assess and mitigate information security risks across engineering functions.
6. Ensure that new technology solutions are delivered to a high standard of security.
7. Provide information security advice and ensure appropriate technologies protect the business's information.
8. Identify future information security risks and provide input to minimize those risks beforehand.
9. Monitor trends in information security, incorporating them into departmental strategy while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships within engineering.
10. Work collaboratively to ensure new security patterns align with customer requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Proven good working knowledge of industry IT compliance standards, particularly in design and implementation.
2. Knowledge of information security principles and best practices, along with experience in managing information security risk.
3. Background and previous experience of IT security controls.
4. Significant experience working and influencing cross-functionally.
5. Experience in relationship management of senior stakeholders.
6. Strong IT skills, capable of analyzing data for reporting purposes and following work instructions.
7. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA CySA, CISSP, or CISM.
8. Automotive experience is preferred, but we also value candidates with knowledge in relevant fields (e.g., aerospace, defence, IT, industrial controls, medical devices).
