We have are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, responsive and innovative Band 8a Pharmacist to join our experienced and expanding Medicines Management Team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust to cover Maternity Leave within the team. You will support the Chief Pharmacist in implementing the Medicines Management Strategy in line with national and local policy and will have the opportunity to develop new skills in directorate activities including financial reporting, risk management, implementation of digital systems and quality improvement. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for providing medicines management support to community based teams and undertake core directorate activities including: Providing Medicines Management input to the Clinical Systems Team to support the ongoing development and deployment of digital systems (EPS and EPMA) throughout the Trust. Writing of governance and financial reports. Development of medicines management policies and supporting the patient group directions (PGDs) agenda. Implementation of patient safety initiatives e.g. drug alerts, patient safety alerts. Assuring the safe and secure handling of medicines in community services in line with CQC requirements. Training health professionals in the community. Management of junior pharmacists and community health services technicians. As the successful candidate, you will have good communication and interpersonal skills and will need to be able to engage and influence a range of stakeholders including, service leads and clinicians. You should be flexible, plan and organise own workload as well as developing and supporting the junior staff. The post holder will be based in Parsons Green but may also be required to travel to other sites and services within the organisation and may be required to support bedded services so will require flexibility as the organisation continues to grow; please see the Trust website for the area that is covered.
