Our client, one of the UK's top contractors, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving supply chain engagement and supporting the company's ambitious sustainability goals.
Position Overview
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for establishing strong supplier relationships, providing supply chain expertise to support operations and preconstruction teams, and driving supply chain engagement to support project carbon ambitions. You will collaborate with industry bodies to ensure a coordinated approach to supply chain vulnerability and promote the Supply Chain Sustainability School to the supply chain and customers.
Responsibilities
* Establish strong supplier relationships through regular and transparent communication
* Provide supply chain expertise to support operations and preconstruction teams
* Engage and manage key supply chain partners using performance reviews and meetings
* Share information across projects to help the company learn effectively and manage risks
* Produce live data and dashboards to inform stakeholders on performance in real-time
* Collaborate with other functions who require supply chain information and data
* Obtain and report on market data to inform strategic decisions
* Seek new and trusted supply chain partners to manage business requirements
* Engage and collaborate with relevant industry bodies on supply chain vulnerability
* Lead the development of the Supply Chain Support Programme
* Drive supply chain engagement to support project carbon ambitions
* Manage project-wide supply chain engagement events
Requirements
* Enthusiasm and excellent collaboration skills
* Desire to improve both yourself and the procurement and supply chain tasks you undertake
* Excellent communication skills across all levels of business and supply chain
* Good bid writing skills
* CIPS qualified or working towards
