The Role
As a SAP Programme Director, you will oversee multiple SAP projects and make sure they align with customers’ overall goals and strategy. The customer has several ongoing projects in SAP including BAU projects as well as transformation projects that involve moving away from legacy technologies to SAP strategic solution. Among other SAP projects, the customer team looks forward to partnering with TCS for planning and working with them to deliver S/4 HANA migration, S4 Finance transformation for their business teams. The role of SAP programmer director will be pivotal to making this happen.
Key responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the SAP programs, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Report detailed status updates to IT and Business leadership team.
• Build strong and enduring CXO relationships.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Innovate to build continuous improvement in delivery with strong program governance.
• Build high performing teams that can work flexibly incorporating hybrid remote working models.
• Create SOWs and manage contracts and commercials with a focus on budget control and forecast management, on time milestone completion and billing.
• Work very closely with the TCS team on a day-to-day basis and enable the team to resolve roadblocks, provide oversight and escalation.
• Resource planning, develop team skill matrix and manage team workload.
• Drive continuous improvement activities across the SAP platform (cost, quality, critical incident management, communications).
Your Profile
Key Skills/ Knowledge/Experience
• Stakeholder Influence: Excellent communication and relationship building skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels (CXO, programme team, cutover team, OCM team, sponsor team).
• Technical know-how: Should have overarching knowledge (in depth not expected) of SAP modules e.g. CAR, UDF, SD, Conditional contracts, MM, MDG, MDM etc.
• Programme Management: Experience in managing scope, resources, budgets, and risks to deliver SAP transformation projects/programmes on time and within budget. Certifications such as PMP or PgMP are preferred.
• Strategic Vision - A strong track record of delivering transformation programmes that drive measurable business outcomes
• Strong Analytics Ability - Makes systematic and rational judgments based on relevant information and supports the same with facts. Identifies potential issues/opportunities in complex situations and foresees implications of proposed solutions.
