As a School Practitioner in our MHST, you'll play a vital role in helping shape our services by working closely with schools, families, and communities. This role is a great opportunity to grow your career in mental health support while making a real impact on the lives of young people.
You’ll join a dedicated team to strengthen MHST initiatives, building lasting partnerships, and drive the implementation of effective mental health services aligned with the national framework. Main duties of the job

We're seeking someone with a core professional qualification (e.g., EMHP, PMHW, or equivalent) and a commitment to continuous professional development. Your experience in therapeutic work with children and young people (at least 2 years) is essential, along with a strong background in risk assessment, clinical supervision, and engaging with families.
You're a natural leader, skilled in delegating tasks and supporting your team. Your experience in managing changing priorities and organising team duties will help you thrive in the role. With excellent communication skills, you can relate to children and young people, ensuring they feel heard, understood and valued.
A flexible and solution-focused approach is key, as is a commitment to evidence-based practice and data collection. Your IT proficiency will support your work in this innovative setting, and your strong personal values will guide your interactions.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Core professional and/or clinical qualification e.g. EMHP, CWP, PMHW, Senior EMHP nursing with a specialism in mental health or learning disability nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Management / supervision training.
Experience
* 2 years working therapeutically with children and young people.
* Evidence of clinical development in practice.
* Experience of effective engagement with families.
* Risk assessment and management in the delivery of clinical services (including safeguarding).
* Experience of delivering CBT informed supervision.
* Experience of line management and clinical supervision.
* Experience of inducting staff members into the area with confidence.
* Experience of working in a community and/or educational environment.
* Experience of organising team duties.
