The Buyer / Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer will help support purchasing strategies, supplier management, and supply chain improvement initiatives, as well as negotiate contracts and agreements with key suppliers. The Buyer / Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer will have had some experience in buying / purchasing within a manufacturing / engineering environment. Package £30,000 24 days plus bank holidays Pension Life Insurance Office Based Monday - Friday Responsibilities: You will contribute to the overall strategy for purchasing, supplier management and supply chain development You will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our purchasing processes Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and agreements Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new ones Prepare daily and monthly reports Inventory control Analyse pricing trends and seek cost-effective solutions Reporting to the Engineering Manager Office based in Andover, Hampshire Requirements: Previous experience in buying / purchasing within an engineering / manufacturing environment.
