GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER - MANCHESTER/ NORTHWEST - 6 MONTH CONTRACT - UP TO £427 PER DAY (INSIDE IR35)
ARM is working with a major client-side Railway company, and we are currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join the existing team based in Manchester on a 6-month contract with the view of extending.
About You:
1. You will be an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with significant experience within geological engineering.
2. Your experience will include design or site-based geology on earthworks or slope stability.
3. Ideally, you will have experience within rail or utilities or highways.
4. Your experience will also include some mentoring of other staff and may be to a Senior level as either a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist.
5. You will need to ideally drive for this position also.
What you will be doing:
This position is working on the nation's railways and ensuring that geological assets such as slope design, earthwork, and other geological assets are stable and any mitigation is in place and remains fit for purpose. This position will involve site visits, as well as office design review, working with stakeholders and project teams to provide technical advice.
This position is based from the office in Manchester, but will involve travel to sites across the route in Lancashire and Cumbria, so can be based in these areas with some travel to the office. Vehicles will be available for site visits.
What you can expect in return:
This position is paying up to £427 per day (via an umbrella company) and is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend.
