Temporary job-contracts supervisor-FM maintenance Estates and Facilities ManagementAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Contract Supervisor to join one of the UK’s leading Universities in their Estates & Facilities team. You will work within the Building Fabric Maintenance team, taking responsibility for supervising external contract support and ensuring co-ordination between the external contract service and the end user. Your new role The role will require you to supervise the completion of primary maintenance contracts. You will be responsible for receiving O&M data from the supporting teams and ensure all asset data is correctly distributed to responsible sections. Working across a large campus, this involves managing a wide variety of specialist contractors for quality assurance purposes. The buildings are numerous and varied in age and purpose. Projects will include mainly building fabric, such as roof repairs, roof and gutter cleaning, asbestos, roller shutter doors, and also some minor civil work (dealing with potholes etc). As a Contract Supervisor, you play an important part in delivering projects in a safe and risk-free environment. This includes RAMS, issuing permits and ID cards. What you'll need to succeed A track record of working in a supervisory capacity in building maintenance or FM/estate management IOSH Managing Safely Building qualification NVQ or City & Guilds or equivalent Experience of H&S practices Verbal and written communication skills. Excellent practical IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook diary management and specialist PPM software. This role has the potential to become permanent, and the benefits are excellent if successful on a temporary basis.
