Facilities Manager – Offering Up To £55k – London
The Facilities Manager will oversee the daily operations of all soft services contracts at a key mixed use building in central London. This includes managing security, reception, cleaning, waste disposal, landscaping, and more to ensure services run safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The role involves maintaining communication with tenants and occupiers, managing relevant aspects of the health and safety system, and approving tenant access permits. Additionally, they will be the primary contact for retail tenants, monitoring their operations and ensuring adherence to building policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily soft services operations and contract compliance.
* Monitor contractor performance and manage supplier contracts.
* Control costs, budgets, and service charge expenditure.
* Issue purchase orders and track financial variations.
* Liaise with tenants and ensure lease compliance.
* Enforce health and safety standards via the company’s safety system.
* Conduct audits, approve access permits, and monitor estate conditions.
* Support ISO certification and ESG initiatives.
* Maintain high security, customer service, and cleanliness standards.
* Promote sustainability and engage with on-site teams for smooth operations.
Skills Required:
* NEBOSH is ideal
* Previous facilities/building management experience amongst commercial (office) assets
* Contract management experience
* Good understanding of office building operations and soft services
* Client facing
