The vacancy of Bank Maintenance Operative is a dual role across two Abbeyfield care homes - Lee House in Wimbledon and Abbeyfield House in New Malden. Flexible working hours are available for discussion - i.e. evening and weekend work. Lee House is an attractive residential care home located in Wimbledon offering care and support to residents over the age of 65. Situated in the cultural suburb of New Malden, Abbeyfield House is a purpose built Dementia Care Home. We offered tailored and personalised packages of care, 24 hours a day to up to 36 residents at any one time. Some Main Duties Of Role All repairs are carried out effectively and quickly, and to a good standard. Work is carried out safely, with adherence to relevant building and construction related regulations. Readily identifiable issues are reported and addressed to minimise impact, risk and damage. Grounds and gardens are kept neat and tidy Report any emergencies to Property Services To complete and maintain the day to day repairs and maintenance of the building and its environment. This will include painting and decoration to residents’ rooms To ensure strict confidentiality in all matters Minor adjustments to windows, doors, restrictors and door closers To maintain the day to day repairs and maintenance of the buildings and their environment To ensure all relevant documentation is kept up to date and completed About You As the Maintenance Operative; you must have good general property maintenance knowledge and skills, and experience in providing maintenance services to other clients. Be able to communicate and interact well with people, be able to read and write to a good standard, and computer literate. Have good knowledge of relevant health and safety and trade regulations, and have the ability to assess and manage risk. Must be able to commute to both New Malden and Wimbledon sites.
