We have an exciting opportunity within the acute adult Inpatient Mental Health Services for an Assistant Clinical Lead on Oakburn Ward at Lynfield Mount hospital. This is a male acute ward which is a 20 bedded ward for working aged adults 18 - 65.
We are looking for someone who is prepared to lead creatively, committed to improving patient and family carer experience, and who will lead and motivate the team to strive for continuous improvement through the development of pathways across Mental Health Services and with partner organizations in the acute care, voluntary and community sectors.
Areas of focus will include:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate a high standard of care to patients and contribute to a safe and developing culture.
2. Provide clinical expertise and guidance to inpatient ward staff.
3. Ensure the service meets guidance and quality standards set locally, regionally, and nationally.
4. Maintain high standards of documentation, care planning, and risk assessments.
5. Provide relevant training and education as required/requested by the service.
6. Contribute to data collection and analysis locally and regionally.
7. Be an integral part of the senior team.
8. Support the team in meeting quality standards, implementing policy, managing change, and delivering innovation.
9. Monitor and analyze care provision through audits, reviews, and engagement.
10. Administer medication in line with Trust policy and NMC guidelines.
11. Maintain clinical record systems as required.
12. Comply with the correct implementation of the Mental Health Act.
13. Act as the duty nurse, shift coordinator, and nurse in charge of the unit.
14. Formulate and influence new ways of working within the service.
15. Guide, mentor, and supervise supporting staff as required.
16. Act as a role model to staff.
17. Act as a consultant to staff on clinical and operational matters, providing advice on clinical and professional matters.
