We are looking for a new staff member to join the Healthcare Administration Team within our busy workforce at Litchdon Medical Centre.
The role is for a Healthcare Administration Support colleague, 17 hours per week as follows:
1. Monday 8.15am - 12.15pm (4 hours)
2. Tuesday 1.15pm - 5.15pm (4 hours)
3. Friday 8.15am - 6.30pm (9 hours)
The role requires very occasional overtime or adjustment to hours in order to complete the service we provide during times of other staff absences or additional clinics.
Pay £11.44 - £11.70 per hour depending on experience and will be reviewed in April 25 in line with national minimum wage changes.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our team at Litchdon. The successful applicant will need to have excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as being adaptable and able to manage a busy workload. Knowledge of working with computers is an essential part of the role, although training will be given on medical systems used within the Practice. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the Practice administration team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Healthcare Admin Manager/Deputy/Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving Practice workload and staffing levels:
* Maintaining security in accordance with Practice protocols.
* Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
* Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail.
* Taking messages and passing on information.
* Filing and retrieving paperwork.
* Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with Practice procedures.
* Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers.
* Clearing and re-stock consulting rooms as required.
* Assist in preparation & setting up of the working environment & nursing clinical rooms for appropriate procedures & maintaining the organisation of them.
* Set up clinic templates on to the IT system.
* Co-ordinating the ordering & maintaining supplies used within the nursing team.
* Providing clerical assistance to Practice staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning.
* Ordering, re-ordering and monitoring of stationery and other supplies.
* Dealing with clinical waste in line with practice health and safety policy.
* Keeping the reception areas, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter.
* Other duties as required by the line manager.
