Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Technology team on a full time, permanent basis.
As a Business Analyst you are responsible for servicing all of the technology products owned by the Ops and Supply Chain departments across our UK business units. You’ll be responsible for gathering, documenting, and interpreting business needs into succinct and concise functional and non-functional requirements, documenting test scenarios, as well as scripts and user outcomes.
This role is home based role with varied amount of travel per year so having a full UK license and access to a vehicle is a requirement. Weekend work may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and interpreting business needs into succinct and concise functional and non-functional requirements
2. You will be responsible for documenting test scenarios, scripts and user outcomes
3. You will play a key role in communicating between the business and BT acting as a translator where necessary
4. Planning and managing small-scale change where needed
5. Ensure personal knowledge and exposure to business change opportunities remain up-to-date, appropriate and relevant.
6. Map process and data flows, incorporating roles and responsibilities
7. Create test scripts that enable the business to sign off the scope of their user testing
8. Successfully deliver any small-scale changes
9. Ensure your attendance at business strategy working groups
10. Keep up to date with SA methodologies
You:
We are looking for someone who has strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and has the ability to ask insightful questions to retrieve information from key stakeholders. You have experience of requirements gathering through direct interaction with business users or in a workshop environment and ability to prioritise MOSCOW. Along side this you will have excellent documentation and writing skills; experience in writing clear and concise requirements, building plans, and conducting analysis. You have experience of working with senior business users with a logical, structured thought process and good problem-solving skills. You can and have demonstrated initiative and work with minimum supervision.
