Temporary Early Years Practitioner (Newhaven, East Sussex)

Sussex Teachers are working with a popular community primary school near Peacehaven to find a Temporary Early Years Practitioner for a long-term Teaching Assistant role, ideally to begin as soon as possible.

* A 15-minute walk from Newhaven Town train station
* A 5-minute walk from the 12/12A Coaster bus route
Key Responsibilities
Working in a bright and welcoming nursery setting, you will support children aged 3-4 years. With a child-centred approach and a wide, varied curriculum, no two days will be the same.
Your role will involve:
* Fun and creative lessons with play-based learning activities.
* Encouraging exploration of the environment both indoors and outdoors.
* Helping children develop social, emotional, and educational skills.
As part of the Early Years team, you will:
* Support children’s development through imaginative play.
* Assist in delivering inspiring and exciting lessons, promoting high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
* Contribute to an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements
* Recent experience working with children, whether in a classroom, nursery, medical, or care home setting.
* Availability for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM – 3:10 PM.
* A passion for working in Early Years education and a commitment to creating positive learning experiences.
