This is an exciting opportunity for a developer to join City of Doncaster Council to work with a multi-disciplined team responsible for the support & development of digital solutions.
The post-holder will be supporting the design and development of all elements of the Council's GIS and Spatial Data Infrastructure. Building and maintaining all aspects of the infrastructure, software and corporate data sets, building spatial apps, processes and workflows for specific business purposes and supporting the council’s user base in the use of GIS. This will require working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to ensure the delivery of the Council’s digital strategy.
The right candidate will have significant experience specifically in the ESRI GIS Platform; including desktop applications (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro), server (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online) and databases. They will have a strong understanding of how GIS capabilities, as well as the technology that underpins them, can be leveraged to deliver effective digital solutions. Ideally they will also have experience in FME as an ETL tool for spatial data transformations, and GIS adjacent software such as IDOX or Symology in order to assist with the wider support remit of the ICT department.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate their proficiency and provide examples of successful projects they have completed.
