We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in students' lives.
The school is based close to Poole, in Lytchett Minster.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students with emotional, social, and mental health challenges.
2. Work closely with teachers and mental health professionals to create a positive learning environment.
3. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students experiencing difficulties.
4. Help implement personalised support plans for students.
5. Promote positive mental health strategies within the school.
6. Assist in creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
7. Monitor and report student progress and any concerns to relevant staff members.
Requirements:
1. Experience in working with children or young people, especially those with mental health challenges.
2. A genuine passion for supporting mental health and well-being.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in challenging situations.
5. A willingness to work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the students.
6. Any relevant qualifications or training in mental health, psychology, or SEN (Special Educational Needs) would be advantageous.
