We have an exciting opportunity for an Orthotist to support our clinics across Derby, Chesterfield, and Buxton.
The role:
As Orthotist you will provide a high standard of Clinical Orthotic Care to all patients and assist in the day to day running of the service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting a caseload of clients with a wide range of complex conditions and recommending the best course of intervention.
* Effectively communicating with informed patient consent, discussing the reasons for the prescription.
* Providing counselling, advice, and support as necessary to maximise rehabilitation potential and to ensure understanding of condition.
* Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, suppling, reviewing, and adjusting orthoses as required.
* Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records.
* Providing training in the field of Orthotics at all levels

What are we looking for?
* Essential skills and experience
* Qualified in Prosthetics/Orthotics
* HCPC registration
* Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable)
* Experience in a wide range of orthotic provision including paediatrics, orthopaedics, and footwear.
* Able to prioritise and manage workload.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with colleagues at all levels.
* Be able to manage difficult, challenging, and sensitive situations.
* Good judgment and decision-making skills
* Full UK driving licence.
