Sales Order Engineering Manager (NPD) Location: Stamford Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 Days Out client is a global provider of power testing solutions, specializing in engineered-to-order (ETO) load banks. Due to increasing global demand, we are looking for a Sales Order Engineering Mmanager (NPD) to lead our global NPD team and drive the development of our next-generation products. The Role You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and global standardization of our new product pipeline. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide, ensuring that our products meet technical, safety, and quality standards while identifying new opportunities for business growth. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership in electrical and mechanical systems for power test solutions. Drive global design consistency, ensuring a unified approach across teams. Deliver standardized design outputs for a "design anywhere, build anywhere" strategy. Identify business opportunities and assess market innovations to enhance our product portfolio. Evaluate emerging customer application needs to identify product gaps and opportunities. Manage engineering team workflows, including pre-quote analysis, order processing, BOM creation, and approvals. Review and evaluate customer requirements to configure and develop custom load banks. Collaborate with Sales, Applications Engineering, and Customers to define clear product specifications. Delegate projects effectively to maximize team resource utilization and knowledge sharing. Ensure product safety and compliance with CE, UL, CSA, and other global standards Additional Responsibilities Provide realistic yet aggressive project timelines to ensure timely product delivery. Travel internationally (up to 65% ) to collaborate with teams in the US, UK, India, and customers. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred). 10 years of experience in OEM electrical or mechanical product development. Expertise in CAD software, ERP systems, and Microsoft applications. Understanding of seismic, wind, and vibration calculations (IBC) is a plus. Knowledge of basic electrical concepts such as ampacity, conductor ratings, and electrical spacing is a plus.
