We are looking to appoint a great Life Skills Assistant to join the team within our land-based and classroom-based Life Skills Services. This includes working within the Rare Breeds Centre, Granary Restaurant, Plants and Produce, Art at the Farm, and Poulton Wood. As a Flexi (Casual) Life Skills Assistant you will work ad-hoc hours supporting adults with learning disabilities develop their skills in a supportive real-life setting. The Life Skills Assistant Role As a Life Skills Assistant you will contribute and assist in the development and delivery of planned daily Life Skills activities for students You will also provide informal training and guidance to students in achieving their identified needs, wellbeing, and aspirations. About you As a Life Skills Assistant you will ideally have previous experience working in a people orientated or educational role. You will have good: verbal communication skills for providing explanations and delivering feedback and written communication skills to ensure accurate and up to date training records You will ideally have an appreciation of the needs of people with learning disabilities. A positive approach to learning is required, along with consideration, patience, and calmness in supporting students Pay and Benefits Rate: £11.49 per hour Flexible Ad-Hoc hours An established team with an allocated central contact Shift Allowances (Weekend Shifts £0.70 per hour).
