Our Client is a highly progressive and buoyant Firm of Independent Financial Planners who maintain an excellent relationship for providing bespoke Financial Advice to their Clients. As a result of ongoing growth and recent promotions, an excellent opportunity has become available for an aspiring IFA Administrator to join their organisation. The successful candidate will be working closely with a team of Paraplanners and Financial Planners.
Responsibilities:
1. Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the relevant FCA rules at all times
2. Comply with the relevant compliance, TCF, T&C and financial crime (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud and corruption) procedures of the company at all times
3. Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes, as required
4. Ensure all dealings with clients are carried out in a professional and courteous manner
5. Follow appropriate ethical standards within the company at all times
6. LOA administration and processes
7. Process new business applications
8. Making appointment packs
9. Valuations
10. Letter writing
11. Telephoning providers
12. General administrative duties when required
Ideal skills and experience:
1. Experience in a financial services organisation with an understanding of regulations/compliance
2. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar software packages, e.g., our back-office system (Iress Adviser Office)
3. Excellent customer-facing interactions, good administration skills, phone manner, and IT skills
4. Well-presented
5. Self-motivated and organised, with a good work ethic
6. Ability to take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, achieving results with minimal supervision
7. Able to stay focused on tasks despite distractions and interruptions
8. Be an integral part of the team – a good communicator, willing to input new ideas and suggestions to improve processes
To be considered, you will need to have industry-related experience and will ideally be working towards industry-related exams, OR be passionate about obtaining the Level 4 Diploma.
