Job Title: Estates and Community Officer (Marleigh)
Reports to: Service Charge Estates Manager
Location: Hanger Building, Jubilee Square, Marleigh
Hours: Permanent 36 hours p/w Monday – Friday; some weekend & evening work required to be agreed beforehand.
Salary: £30,000 DoE plus benefits
The Role
The Estates and Community Officer is responsible for:
* Overseeing day-to-day operations of a community centre & wider open space.
* Monitoring & managing contractors.
* Providing first line support for residents in person & over the phone/emails.
Key Responsibilities
* Point of contact for residents & wider community groups, ensuring high standards of customer care and being presentable & approachable for users of the community centre.
* Producing KPI reports & site inspection reports to assist the Service Charge Estate Manager with estates operations.
* Supporting the Service Charge Estate Manager with handovers of future infrastructure including landscaping reports & sign off.
* Engaging with & supporting local community groups and chairing multiple user groups including building user groups, local community steering groups & resident associations.
* Ensuring the community centre is operated in a safe and secure manner and that H&S regulations are adhered to.
* Promoting The Land Trust policies and aims.
* Assisting with negotiating annual budgets & ad hoc works.
* Monitoring & maintaining a booking system software to control bookings for the community centre, assisting with setting up bookings & raising invoices.
Essential Skills and Attributes
* GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above.
* Experience of and confidence in using spreadsheets; good knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
* 1-2 years experience in dealing with customers via telephone, emails, etc.
* 1-2 years estates management experience, including management of maintenance contracts & reporting on progress.
* Confident in engaging with several community groups, with the ability to build & maintain relationships to a high level.
* High level of accuracy, integrity, and good attention to detail.
* Experience with Service Charge would be desirable but not essential.
* Confident telephone manner, excellent spoken and written communication skills.

The Land Trust is a Registered Charity based in Warrington and operating nationally, leading the way in establishing new, sustainable solutions for the management of open space on behalf of, and in partnership with, local communities. We manage around 80 sites across the UK, including urban parks, designated nature reserves, and listed buildings. We work with local partners to manage sites on the ground and engage communities.
We help a wide range of public and private landowners, including housing developers, landfill operators, and local authorities, who want to pass on responsibility for the management of sites, public open space, or new green infrastructure to find bespoke long-term funding and management solutions for land.

* £30,000 depending on experience.
