We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our Home Entertainment and Sound division (HES-E), where you will be dedicated to engineering support with System, Picture Quality, and Marketing for products in our Display and Sound categories. You will collaborate with internal and external customers and cover a wide variety of product engineering tasks, including solving product issues, support for dealer & press events, investigations for professional display installations, and general engineering tasks, all with the aim to help maximise business opportunities and provide the best customer product experience. We're looking for a true Engineer, someone with a passion for investigating and solving technical challenges with System or Picture Quality engineering, but also someone with the ability to communicate with customers with across the whole spectrum of internal tech teams, sales & marketing, external customers, press, and our designers at Tokyo HQ. You will need to adapt to your audiences, either in tech-terminology or simply by demonstrating cultural awareness. Your success will be measured against proactivity with activities, timely progress, effective comms and relationships, outcomes, building your knowledge and adapting to new things. You and your manager will form the System and Picture Quality team in a wider Product Engineering department, and you will have a real impact on our end products. You should also be aware that we will develop you to become the System and Picture Quality team manager in future, and then your first job will be to backfill your role You will: Investigate issues and challenges with other engineers and customers, and resolve Technically support Sales & Marketing teams with Sony products Create demo scenario and deliver demos to medias, dealers, and customers Support introduction of Sony products into the market You will bring: Relevant experience of degree in Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, or Software Some experience in a manufacturing or electronics company as an Engineer Project management experience i.e. plan, communicate, implement, track, deliver, review Understanding of signal processing and mathematics Work experience in Power Point and Excel Even more preferable: Knowledge of TV/Display Design experience Software coding experience Digital image processing knowledge Editing of video contents Electrical product experience Your new office Based at the Weybridge office, you will enjoy a vibrant and friendly working environment.
