Job Title: Design Manager
Location: Falmer, Brighton
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead engineering design delivery, ensuring technical excellence and innovation. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive successful project outcomes while prioritising sustainability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading engineering design, ensuring technical and economic efficiency while providing expert support from project definition to handover. The role involves driving innovation, compliance, and risk management, collaborating with project teams to enhance efficiency and affordability, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and safety standards, and mentoring and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
About You
You should be a Chartered Engineer with a relevant degree and have strong experience in engineering design, construction, and project management. A solid knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes is essential, along with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A passion for sustainability and innovation, as well as a full valid UK driving licence, is also required.
