The purpose of the role: We are looking to appoint a Finance Analyst to Aggreko’s Lomondgate Site in Dumbarton. This is a key role within the Finance Department and will be responsible for providing strong financial reporting, business partnering & analysis for the Commercial, Product Management, Engineering & Manufacturing teams. As a Finance Analyst you will provide valuable data analysis and reporting to contribute to the accurate financial reporting and controls. You will also build on the current procedures in place to ensure valuable management reporting and KPIs are created to evidence financial performance. This role is stakeholder focused and you will have the opportunity to genuinely affect change in the business unit that you are a part of, adding value, influencing non-finance decision-makers and building relationships across the business. Key Responsibilities The key focus areas for the Finance Analyst role are: Support the Finance Business Partner with the delivery of month end, quarterly forecasts and annual budget for Manufacturing, PME and Commercial functions Provide valuable data analysis to contribute to accurate financial reporting, and work with the team to drive improvements Work with the budget owners to ensure accurate forecasting and costs are within budget Provide monthly variance analysis vs budget and forecast Identify efficiencies and build improvements to existing financial processes and reports Preparation of R&D data for HMRC tax claim Involvement in d-hoc projects looking at the viability of new technologies and/or driving efficiencies What we’re looking for: Ideally looking for a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or PQE in a similar role/industry Ability to analyse and challenge data when appropriate to ensure complete and accurate Have experience of developing/improving processes and have worked on continuous improvement initiatives. Good technical accounting knowledge Excellent spreadsheet/systems interrogation skills Experience of M3 Cloudsuite, Tagetik, Basware would be advantageous Why join Aggreko?
