Description Stoke – HGV Driver Job Advert Due to significant growth opportunities and contract expansion within Group Transport we are looking for experienced HGV 1 Drivers to join our Sainsbury’s Stoke Depot. We are looking for Class 1 Drivers with flexibility to work across a variety of start times across a 5 days on 3 days off shift pattern. Successful applicants will be required to be fully flexible in order to provide cover as per the needs of the business. How will you contribute? • To deliver products to store in a timely and professional manner • To "work as trained" and "in line" with SWOP’s when unloading at stores. • Ensure compliance with Tachograph and Road Transport Directive Legislation • Ensuring trailers temperatures are correct • Operate any winter equipment i.e., gritter/snowplough as required. • Ensuring the internal and external cleanliness of the vehicle is maintained at all times What will you bring? • Class 1 licence required (No more than 3 points) • 2 years driving experience and excellent base knowledge of Transport • Must have completed module 4 of CPC (as a minimum) • Customer driven • Must be flexible / able to work safely under pressure • Be able to work on own, but also be able to work as a key member of a team • Ability to think on your feet • Have good attention to detail • Excellent awareness of Health & Safety • Good knowledge of Sainsbury’s procedures • Good awareness of Health and Safety Requirements Our Culture & Benefits In addition to a generous salary, we really value our people and offer a friendly, safety-first working environment, along with other benefits including company pension scheme, generous holidays, cycle to work scheme, employee benefits include, online discount platform, onsite parking and much more.
