The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team and will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and interventions for children, adolescents, and families using evidence-based interventions for those presenting with neurodevelopmental disorders and other mental health difficulties. In addition, the post holder is encouraged to develop a specific therapeutic modality as a specialty for the service.
Main duties of the job
1. To ensure high quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to the service.
2. To monitor and review young people including recording their physical observations in the ADHD Clinic.
3. To complete assessments with young people referred, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a variety of therapeutic approaches either alone or as a member of the MDT, including medication/physical reviews for those on medications.

Minimum Requirements
NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration together with significant post-qualification experience in mental health services to postgraduate diploma level.
Experience of case management of young people, multi-agency working, with knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders is essential.
