About The Role
We are seeking a Streetworks Inspector to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for the street works inspections for both planned and emergency works on the Islington network. You will take responsibility for the technical processes relating to delivery of activities carried out by a wide range of works promoters, such as inspecting, monitoring, reporting, safety audits, and management of the network under their direct supervision.
The duties will also consist of assisting the team to provide, maintain, develop, implement, evaluate, review, and pro-actively improve the services provided by the various works promoters, to ensure the council's network management duty is maintained.
You will be working closely with your inspection colleagues and the coordination team, managed by the Street Works Coordination and Permitting Team Leader, to gather and produce evidence to support and enforce breaches in highway legislation or health and safety.
