Who are we? ✈️ Arcube is a UK-based startup and we built one of the industry’s first ‘Post-Flight Technologies’. Our AI-powered software analyzes passenger data after they disembark from a flight, enabling them to convert otherwise idle points into personalized ancillaries for future bookings. By leveraging ancillaries in a unique way, we drive repeat bookings, increase revenue, and build customer loyalty. We are a small but highly capable team that values speed in building technology and execution. Our goal is to grow rapidly and establish ourselves as market leaders in the new and emerging category of the Post-Flight Experience. The Role We’re looking for a Solutions Architect with a deep expertise in passenger airline ancillaries systems and e-commerce solutions. You will need to design Arcube’s product architecture including integrations to relevant passenger data sources, loyalty CRM & APIs. You need to be up to date with various tech stacks that airlines use globally to develop adaptive solutions for integrations and ancillary fulfilment. As an early team member, you will receive meaningful ownership in Arcube for wearing multiple hats and to be at the forefront of creating an industry-first product that will reshape the future of airline technology. Key Responsibilities ⚙️ Be instrumental in the development of Arcube’s post-flight platform, particularly with integrations and workflows with internal airline systems. Design and manage various API connections and data flows from both airline ancillary and loyalty applications to/from the Arcube platform, including creating high level designs with developers. Be a technical point of contact, taking meetings with airlines during sales and technical conversations. Enable data to be used in downstream use cases like customer segmentation, personalization, and targeted marketing. Optimize product architecture & data systems for performance, scalability, and accessibility. Required Qualifications & Skills Strong software engineering and platform integrations background, with a minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field. 2 years working at a passenger airline technology company Expertise with working with airline technology, specifically the customer journey supporting their e-commerce solution including PSS and NDC, GDS or Offer & Order. Have a strong understanding of the structure and storage of passenger data including the loyalty CRM, PNRs, EMDs and other passenger data feeds. Strong understanding of ancillary offerings, bundling, pricing & fulfilment. Experience designing or building connectivity/integration between systems and API integration patterns, including the creation and management of API documentation (e.g Swagger) Be familiar with programming languages and structures such as Python, Node, SQL, NoSQL and with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services such as Lambda, Kubernetes, and DynamoDB. Hiring Process First Stage - Introductory Call A 30-minute conversation with our founders to discuss your experience in the travel industry and introduce you to Arcube. Second Stage - Home Task & Presentation We’ll provide a short system architecture challenge (designed to take less than 2 hours) at least 4 days before your second interview. During the interview, you’ll present your solution, share your thought process and the approaches you considered. Final Stage – Deep Dive and Conclusion A deeper conversation to understand your motivations for joining Arcube, preferences and your alignment with a startup working style.
