About the Role We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Head of Global Partnerships to join our high-performing Global Engagement Team. With a new university strategy soon to be launched you will be responsible for supporting the Associate Director of Global Engagement in the implementation and delivery of the University’s Global Engagement strategy and for identifying and developing new business opportunities that align with its aims in a range of countries. About You We’re looking for a skilled higher education international partnership practitioner with a track record of delivering and managing international partnerships and transnational education. You will have demonstrable knowledge of the effective business processes which evaluate and bring partnerships to life whilst ensuring risk mitigation, and that quality assurance standards are met. You will have a clear understanding of the opportunities and issues relating to international partnership development, including TNE, and be ambitious to manage, build and support the realisation of credible, scalable relationships. You will particularly be responsible for the continuing success of Sussex’s existing TNE partnership in Zhejiang Province and a second emergent partnership in China. Working closely with the Associate Director of Global Engagement you will manage the work of Global Partnerships Managers. The Global Partnerships Team also includes two Partnerships Administrators, and a Partnerships Development Manager based in Hangzhou. You will work alongside the Head of Global Mobility and Head of Global Programmes and in cooperation with the Associate Director International. Internally, you will be an institutional advocate for the value of global engagement to the wider University community. Externally, you will work with international institutions, ministries, embassies and other relevant bodies and forums to ensure recognition of Sussex’s Global education, research and engagement. About Our Division The CEA division is vital in contributing towards the success of Sussex. We work closely in partnership with our four faculties and other learning institutions in the UK, and, Internationally to attract students from over 170 countries and to develop successful global partnerships.
