This, among other services, include high voltage engineering solutions, from conceptual design, through to installation and operations and maintenance as well as blade services. The Role JFR is growing in all directions of its operational footprint, and we are looking for two HV SAPs to join the team and support customers with the HV safety of the system, ensuring highest level of standards on our clients' sites by governance through Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules. You will be involved in site inspections, troubleshooting, HV risk assessments and more There will be opportunities to develop into SAP up to 400kV. This role will be home based with travel to our sites in Scotland, Midlands and London areas. The rota will be 2 weeks on/2 weeks off and there will be a mixture of offshore and onshore work. We are ideally looking to split the sites between our SAPs depending on the location they are based, but we expect flexibility to travel to all of our sites when required. It is an exciting time to join the JFR (James Fisher Renewables) team and get involved in all new projects down the line Role Accountabilities Carry out and manage electrical work and testing activities. Manage the work area and return networks to normal operation. Provide basic electrical safety rules training to other site workers. Co-ordinate and manage resources (including sub-contractors), materials, tools/equipment and PPE. Operate as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under the EDS Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules (and specific client rules as required). Support projects globally with our key clients mobilising on and offshore to support the needs of the client. Working on rotations and ad hoc as required. Provide and comply with company and client Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS). Plan electrical installations, maintenance and testing tasks on client high and low electrical networks. This includes electrical safety, general safety and client liaison. Promote H&S at every opportunity, supporting the HSE reporting systems, HSE team & Leadership team. Support other sides of the business as and when required. Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience Previous experience working in an electrical engineering role. Understand electrical single line diagrams. Able to demonstrate a high level of safety awareness and understanding. Experience and willingness to solve problems in real time. Highly personable with good customer liaison and management skills. Minimum of grade A-C GCSE grades including English and Mathematics. Full driving license and valid passport. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to travel and works shifts away from home. Ability to meet the requirements of GWO/O&G Offshore Medical and survival certificates are essential. Experience in the role of Senior Authorised Person working on high voltage networks. Desirable: Third Level Education (HNC, HND, Degree, Masters) in an engineering discipline. Experience in working offshore. Experience in fault response, location and repair management. Experience in managing electrical projects.
